Sojourn a journey through life

Japan – Tokyo

At long last, we come to the conclusion of this blogging mayhem. Tokyo (in my opinion) was not as spectacular as I had imagined, but I think that a lot of that was due to our dungeon-like crap accommodation (but I won't go off on that here, this blog is G-Rated). I think more time in Tokyo would have been in order, and by this time, we were also exhausted.

We went to the crazy Tsukiji fish market market and watched the chaos there, Carly and I didn't find any fish, or try to dart through the traffic because we feared for our lives, so instead we were content to wander the stalls, and watch people drinking beer and eating sushi at 8am.

It was also awesome just to watch the people buzzing around this 35 million person metropolis and surrounding area.

It was enjoyable to wander the city at night, see the traffic, the lights. Tokyo tower was quite a pretty sight as well.

The Grand Palace was a nice stop, and an interesting change of scenery sprawling quite a number of acres smack dab in the middle of the city. This shot is just one tiny corner of the moat surrounding the Grand Palance, complete with swan.

And this is me, on our way back to the airport for a 9 hour flight to Vancouver. Yup. Freakin' tired.

I guess the last entry wouldn't be complete without an "uber-cheese" shot, so here goes - Carly, Krista and I standing victorious at the Vancouver airport, looking buff, with our all-to-heavy packs, having successfully survived our travels, and wanting to go home and have a nap. End run-on sentence.

So there you have it, Japan in a nutshell. Now with that out of the way, we'll hopefully be able to show you some pics of our new place in Singapore sometime in the upcoming few days.
