For those of you who aren’t programmers, or don’t read English, the above title is quite indicative of the fact that our plane tickets to Bali, accommodation, cooking classes and all the rest of it have been cancelled.
As much as we’d like to head over to Bali, it doesn’t seem to be the logical choice after Sunday nights bombings, not to mention all the riots and transport strikes due to the rising fuel prices (87-200% fuel price hike overnight – depending on where in Indonesia).
Today I spent most of the day looking at where in Thailand we’ll go instead. Right now, it looks like the itinerary is gonna be a flight to Bangkok for a couple nights, then a flight down to Krabi for the rest of the week, and then back to Singapore. The itinerary can be inspected by Carly for final approval when she get’s home from school.
So um, for everyone who reads this, “We’re not in Bali, we’re not going to Bali, so don’t worry, we’re alive”… etc. etc.
